Advisory

Bernard accepts advisory work on projects that have a public impact, that deal with an interpretation of the future, that involve some form of public communication, and that make an ethical and helpful contribution to Australian society.

Advisory work includes media support where required; this can include media interviews and briefings.  Advisory reports are written in a journalistic op-ed style with high-impact graphics.

Advisory reports can help inform public opinion about the future of projects, businesses, cities and regions.

  • Access the consumer insights capabilities of The Demographics Group. Then leverage our communication skills to understand and to shape opinion.

Typically, this involves Bernard speaking at an event (eg presenting findings). In addition to the presentation this can include a slide deck, a written report with summary foreword, the preparation of to-camera commentary as well as the the delivery of social media posts.

Bernard’s skill is in being able to turn data into insight and impact.

Advisory reports include bespoke analysis and graphics presented in a datapack. Some clients want help in designing surveys, in interpreting results and in developing and projecting an informative narrative.

The Demographics Group offers advisory services based on demographic insight. Our work can also involve some kind of public engagement as a deliverable.

Here’s how we work.  Generally, we discuss issues by phone, then we meet, draft a proposal itemising deliverables, timeframes and costings, and then begin a project.

Our work starts with a review of the current situation. This is followed by client consultation about the trends likely to shape a market, city, region into the future. We use long-term datasets to develop trend insights and options that are data-based. Every advisory project is bespoke and delivers some kind of impact.

Advisory projects always start with a phone chat.  Call Fiona Evans on 0415 328 532 to request a call back from Advisory Director Sarah Read at The Demographics Group.

  • We provide direction, insight & interpretation

Some clients want assistance in interpreting survey data which, when mixed with general demographic analysis, can help deliver an engaging public narrative.
